11/20/04 - Paino Playing
I added to the piano and have it playing some music.
Well, it might not be music. I don't play so I am not
sure what keys to put down but who cares since it is
a silent picture.

11/20/04 - Paino Keys
I had an idea for a new project. As part of it I needed
a piano keyboard. I may end up making the entire piano
but for now I am only making as much as I need. In theory,
this coule be animated and attached to some music to appear
to play.

11/20/04 - Grid Bugs
Inspired by the movie TRON this image of the grid bugs
martching didn't take much time at all. After learning some
very cool tricks making the "Escape The Grid" picture below,
this one came much faster and easier. Figuring out the scale
was tricky. I had to check out the movie a couple times to get
the bugs close to the right size. They still need a little work
because I want to animate them but they are mostly finished.

11/20/04 - Escape The Grid
Inspired by the movie TRON this image of a lightcycle being
chased by a couple of recognizers from the Space Parinoids game.
I created most of what you see in this image but the lightcycle
was designed by my good friend
Dave Billingsley.

08/20/04 - Robo Hand
What does every good robot need? Hands of course. This is
one hand of my new robot creation. Slowly I will be building
one section of the robot at a time. You should get some cool
previews along the way. I actually have 2 animations using the
hand. One created on the 18th and I had to make the pistons
longer to give the hand better range of motion. On the 20th I
connected the hand to an arm using pistons as the wrist to give
flexibility. Finally, I added an arm to the hand and made it
play ball.

08/15/04 - Piston Joint Test
I am hoping to build a full robot animation at some point in the
not too distant future after this test. This is one of my
first successful animation tests for the main joints that could
become the robot. The lurning process is killing me!

06/13/04 - Rubik's Cubes
To go along with the previous Snake toy image, I created some
Rubik's Cubes and put them on the floor in various positions.
Just a nice reminder of my childhood toys.

06/10/04 - Snake
Inspired by puzzle toy Rubik's Snake, this image is the first version. It is
the form it comes in when you buy one in the box. Just for fun I also created
a simple animation to go with this single frame version.

03/27/04 - ABC Blocks
WOW! It is amazing what the proper lighting can do. I spent a lot of time
getting the wood grain just right and adjusting the lighting effects on
this image of a set of A-B-C Blocks scattered on the floor. Be sure to
take note of the soft edges on the shadows and the way the light fills
the scene compaired to some of the earlier pictures. These effects cause
the picture to take much longer to draw but the result is well worth the
wait. Can you find the word spelled out in the image?

03/20/04 - Prism
I was performing some experiments with light and glass serfaces and I came
up with a nice looking prism. I had a little help from a web page that
explaind the math and science behind prisms and how they rafract light.

03/13/04 - Marbles On The Floor
I have been playing with glass and lighting. I have also been playing with
textures. While looking at some marbles I got inspired and I came up with
this image. There are fifty cats eye marbles sitting on the floor with some
very soft lights shining down on them.

03/01/04 - After The Party
This is little more than an experiment with glass objects. Ok, drinking glasses
actually. The glasses are very simple in shape but the texture of the glass is
the important part. The bending of the light through the glasses seems very
realistic to me. The cabinet in the image is just for filler and not all that
real looking in my opinion. Good looking glass is prety hard to come up with
and can take a long time to render. I have caustics turned on in this image but
not radiosity because it would take many hours for the image to draw.

02/22/04 - Stone Orca
Now this is what I would call my first real work of art using the LightWave.
I spent almost 2 weeks putting time into this project. The hardest part was
the stone orca which I thought would be simple. All the curves took a lot of
fine touching to get just right. The clock in the image was the next hardest
part. You really can't see all the detail that I put in to the clock in this
image. The videos were the simpelest part. This reflects the stand full of
videos that sits in my living room.

02/16/04 - Scrubbing Bubbles
A must create image bring my old scrubbing bubbles to life using the
new design tool Lightwave. If you compaire these guys to my older work
you will see they are not the same old object. These guys have depth for
their brushes and their eyes. They have no eyebrows because I thought they
looked out of place. The tile is very simplistic as this was just a warm
up excersize for me to get back in the swing of things. I spent about 8
hours creating this image.

02/15/04 - Tires Tutorial
A pair of tires on a simple background. This tutorial gave me the
basics of modeling and scene lighting for a single tire. It took
me about 5 hours to complete the image. The image wasn't very interesting
so I threw a second copy of the tire in. All in all it was a great
tutorial and I learned a lot.
