My Tatoos

Ok, right now there is only one tatoo. I wasn't 100% sure I want this on my body for the rest of my life so I thought that it would be a very wise thing if used a temporary tatoo as a test.

I went to a lot of trouble to find the image that I really wanted as my first tatoo. You can read about it on my spirit animal page. I drew the artwork myself and tried it in several sizes. The image that I have found to be the best fit is about 4 1/2 inches wide. Much bigger and it wraps around my arm too much. Smaller and it gets hard to see and really hard to draw for the tatoo artist.

To start off 2004 I had the permanent tatoo done. Call it my little Christmas gift to myself. It is something I have wanted for a very long time but it wasn't until now that I found an image that has enough meaning and is unique enough to ware for the rest of my life.

The entire process took about 3 1/2 hours. It didn't hurt too much until near the end. My arm was getting a little testy as the red was going on. The entire experience was wonderful.

You might wonder where I had this done. It is a place called Bee Pierced in Salem Oregon. I did a lot of looking around and this shop had the best artists and made me feel very comfortable.
