The audio files are stored in MP3 format. You will need to install an MP3 player on your computer if you don't already have one. We suggest using WinAmp since it is very powerful and easy to use. You may also use the Windows Mediaplayer which is normally installed on most Windows computers.
Not all of the books of the Bible are currently available in audio format. As more are located they will be added to the collection for your enjoyment. Currently just under half of the Old Testament and all of the New Testament are in audio format. Each book of the Bible that are in audio format are broken into sound files that cover one chapter. You can also play an entire book from the Bible at one time without the need to step from chapter to chapter. You may also play a single chapter as you read along if you prefer.
All efforts have been made to make a good balance between the quality of the recordings and the amount of space required to store the files. The audio files play directly from the CD but can also be stored on your hard drive if you wish. Simply copy the entire CD to a folder on your compter and it works just like it would if it was playing from the CD.
Although the text of the Bible is available in the King James and World English translations, the audio tracks are all recorded in the World English version. Storing more than one version on a CD would simply require too much space. And maintaining two seperate CD collections is not desirable at this time.
This collection was put together not for proffit but to make it easier for you to experience the Bible. You are welcome to share and copy the CD in any way you wish. A duplication and/or shipping fee may be charged for the copies you make as long as it is kept within reason. Share but don't steal the work that has gone into making this collection.
