A Quick Over View

To perform a UPC Lookup against our UPC Database, simply type in the 8 or 12 digit UPC Code in the search box found at the top of any screen and click the "Lookup" button. It is that simple. We have hundreds of thousands of UPC codes and their related product descriptions for you to search through.

This site is here in the hope of connecting you to product and company information using the UPC codes found on just about every product you can buy at the store. This is a free service for the casual user that wants to look up just a few UPC codes each day. For more energetic users, lookup credits can be earned by helping us fill in missing data or if you are a heavy user that needs to lookup a lot of information but you can't or just don't want to help us update our data, you can purchase credits and do as many lookups as you like.

More About The UPC Project

• There are NO GUARANTEES or WARRANTEES when it comes to the quantity or accuracy of our data. The data is mainly entered by the general public so expect that some errors or omissions will exist. We try to keep everything as accurate as possible but mistakes happen.
• The user interface used to access, enter and edit the UPC data may change at any time without warning. We will try to keep this to a minimum but some changes are needed from time to time so we can offer added or improved services.
• The goal of the project is to provide useful information to the public and possibly links from this system to companies and/or products that use UPC codes and have some fun in the process.
• Anyone can submit data for unknown UPC codes. Submissions are held in a queue and reviewed before they are added to the database. The review is only to insure that the database doesn't get inappropriate information (adult web links, foul language and things like that) The review doesn't verify that the product code matches the proper product in most cases.
• Anonymous users are limited on the number of lookups that can be done each day.
• Registered users get more free lookups than anonymous users. Registered users can earn or purchase additional lookups.
• All it takes to become a member is to enter your email address. You will not be sent any SPAM and we will not sell or give your information to anyone.

Do you have a Barcode Scanner?

The latest version of BarDecoder supports just about any barcode scanner that sits in between your keyboard and your computer. There are lots of new features in this latest version. I love it and would recommend it to anyone who wants to work with barcodes on their computer.

If you have one of the CueCat®; scanner created by DigitalConvergence and handed out at RadioShack, Wired Magazine and other locations. This program can use that scanner too! It was originally written to use only the CueCat® but now it supports just about any scanner!

This program lets you do lots of things with your scanner. You can process different types of barcodes in different ways. Very cool!
